Island of the gods:Bali,Indonesia.

At the end of February this year, I went to Bali to escape the freezing cold in Korea. This was my second trip and I feel that Bali is like home to me.This (photo) is the "Welcome to Bali" Hindu statue situated near stores and a busy circle intersection. It is one of three gods of the statue.I had 2 seconds to take this pic out the car window. There are many temples and shrines like this one.The Balinese make offerings to the Hindu Gods two or three times a day. They offer prayers, rice and burn incense, while doing some interesting hand waving. It's a wonderful thing to see. Posted by Hello

Gunang Agung, is the highest and largest, awe-inspiring volcano in Bali. It occasionally vents steam and smoke at 3014 meters(9888ft.) The Balinese people believe that the spirits of their ancestors dwell here and consider it holy. Posted by Hello
